Gracelands Wedding Photography - Wedding of Beth & Jacob.
It’s been a while since I’ve blogged a wedding and I’m excited to start again with the most recent wedding of Beth & Jacob! So much planning went into this wedding at Gracelands, Central Coast, especially some of the family coming all the way from England to celebrate!
We started off with the boys prep at The Quarters Forresters Beach (strategic choice as it’s just around the corner from Gracelands Central Coast) with chill vibes and a relaxed attitude with a few beers in the hot sun to start the gorgeous day off with. The weather couldn’t have been better for a wedding day! Summertime is here.
Our secondary shooter for the day, Chris from Bedroom Studios, stayed with the boys while I (Ryan) drove off to meet the girls at Star Of The Sea in Terrigal, Central Coast. Everyone was relaxed and getting their final touch-ups by Taylor Beck hair and makeup. In the most relaxed fashion Beth put her dress and accessories on and we spent some time getting some gorgeous photos, and the first time I’d seen wings on a wedding dress which I absolutely loved as a wedding photographer.
Gracelands on the Central Coast at Forresters Beach is forever and always a beautiful venue to have a ceremony and makes it easy as a wedding photographer, all angles look great and it’s very easy to move around and get a wide variety of different shots. It was emotional ceremony for Beth & Jacob and everybody could see just how much they love one another, and how far they’ve come along their journey to get to this point of sharing a very special wedding day for them both.
This year I have mostly been doing wedding photography around the Hunter Valley. Although beautiful and I love shooting wedding photography around the Hunter Valley, this was actually my first time getting to take a newly wed couple and the bridal party to Wyrrabalong Lookout above Forresters Beach Central Coast. For my entire life I’ve been walking along this track and coming to these lookouts, so I was VERY excited to finally shoot a pictorial here. We only spent a short amount of time around the lookouts and the sun was quite high and bright, which usually as a wedding photographer makes it not quite ideal lighting to shoot, but in my opinion it was perfect for a nice and bright summertime vibe wedding shoot!
After some laughs and checking out the stunning view from Wyrrabalong lookout over Forresters Beach, we headed back to Gracelands to join the rest of the guests for the reception. During dinner Beth & Jacob took a quick minute to make use of the beautiful golden afternoon light right out of the front of Gracelands, Central Coast. They turned out to be some of my favourite golden hour shots in this year for doing wedding photography. The rest of the night was spent laughing and crying to some beautifully written speeches followed by the first dance, father and bride dance, and then the d-floor was on!
