Twice the Coverage, Twice the Memories: Why a Second Shooter is Worth It
When you’re planning your wedding, one of the biggest decisions you’ll make is choosing your photographer. But there’s one thing that many couples don’t think about right away: Should you hire a second photographer? Having an extra shooter on your wedding day might seem like an unnecessary splurge at first, but it can really take your wedding photos to the next level. In this post, we’re diving into what a second photographer does and why you might want to consider adding one to your big day.

Gracelands Wedding Photography - Wedding of Beth & Jacob.
Gracelands on the Central Coast at Forresters Beach is forever and always a beautiful venue to have a ceremony and makes it easy as a wedding photographer, all angles look great and it’s very easy to move around and get a wide variety of different shots. It was emotional ceremony for Beth & Jacob and everybody could see just how much they love one another, and how far they’ve come along their journey to get to this point of sharing a very special wedding day for them both.

Wedding Photography - Colo Vale, Southern Highlands Elopement Wedding - Madieson & Kurtis
After living abroad for a year and a half, shooting the elopement wedding of Madieson & Kurtis in Colo Vale, Southern Highlands south of Sydney was the perfect photography warm up. Not only did we have a beautiful, warm and sunny day (which actually can make a few challenges as a wedding photographer!), everyone was relaxed, with good vibes and ready to have their fun, special and intimate day together. The venue was all held at the one AirB&B, which felt like a large, modern day cottage. After a few beers, shots and wines, everyone dressed up and headed out to the ceremony area with their sun umbrellas.

Wedding Photography - Kim's Beachside Retreat Toowoon Bay, Central Coast - Mark & Kassie
Where do I begin with this one. Mark and Kassie have been great friends of mine from a very young age. And of course, that means shooting a wedding with all my best friends and primary school friends! When they told me they wanted me as their wedding photographer and having their wedding at Kim's Beachside Retreat Toowoon Bay, I was beyond excited. Mark and the boys had a very chilled morning with beers, music, and wondering how to tie a necktie. After a few moments at Mark’s house, it was over to Kim’s Beachside Retreat Toowoon Bay for Kassie’s wedding prep. This place is unbelievably photogenic! It almost feels like you’re not at Toowoon Bay on the Central Coast.
